Rachel Kauder Nalebuff, Lecturer in Graphic Design

Rachel Kauder Nalebuff is a lecturer in the Department of English and the School of Art. Her book “Stages: On dying, working, and feeling” is a hybrid collection of writing and interviews with end-of-life care workers that “feels truly revolutionary, in both form and in content” (Elif Batuman). As an editor, she created “Our Red Book,” named a best book of the year by the San Francisco Chronicle, and the New York Times best-selling “My Little Red Book.” She co-edited “The Feminist Utopia Project” with Alexandra Brodsky. She also founded and directs 3 Hole Press, a small press for drama described by Artforum as “quickly becoming the gold standard" in contemporary performance-text publication. Rachel’s performances have been staged at REDCAT, The Skirball Center, The Public Theater, La Ferme du Buisson (in collaboration with artist Emily Mast), and featured on the BBC. Her writing has been published by Time, The Guardian, The Boston Globe, Theater Magazine, and more. Rachel currently teaches undergraduate nonfiction writing as well as a class on the intersection of writing and graphic design.
